Mechanical Project Manager – Data Centre – Sines, Portugal

Our client is a dedicated Data Centre Construction company providing turnkey solutions to our clients, headquartered in Dublin and delivering throughout Europe. As an engineering-focused organisation, they have grown to become one of the leading and most trusted companies in our sector.
We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join our team. This position will be based on-site in Sines, Portugal.

Responsibilities

Mechanical Works Leadership
Manage the full delivery of mechanical systems including cooling, HVAC, CRAC/CRAH units, chilled water, and associated infrastructure, ensuring alignment with data centre performance standards.
Design Review & Technical Resolution
Review mechanical design packages, coordinate with engineering teams, and resolve technical issues to ensure accuracy, constructability, and compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
Site Execution & Quality Control
Oversee on-site mechanical installation activities, monitor productivity and workmanship, enforce QA/QC procedures, and ensure adherence to programme milestones.
Coordination & Interface Management
Work closely with electrical, architectural, structural, and commissioning teams to maintain seamless system integration, manage interface points, and mitigate potential clashes or delays.
Testing, Commissioning & Handover Support
Lead mechanical system commissioning activities, validate performance testing results, ensure all documentation is completed, and support handover processes to meet data centre operational criteria.

Requirements

Must have relevant degree level qualifications or equivalent trades background
Must have 10+ years’ experience managing MEP Packages on large scale construction projects (preferably Data Centres)
Must have EU Passport or RTW in Portugal
